C-4 Approve settlement of personal injury claims of John Parrish

Issue/Rationale

On October 9 2009 a school bus driven by an employee of the School Board of Clay County collided with a vehicle owned and driven by John Parrish. As a result he suffered injuries which are permanent in nature and has some disability. He has had shoulder surgery as a result of the accident. Total medical bills are expected to exceed $20,000. The case can be settled for a total settlement cost of $9,000.00.

Recommended Action
Superintendent recommends approval.
